Churchill marks awards shortlisting with client win and major product update for Cati

Churchill’s compliance software, Cati, has recently been shortlisted as a finalist in the prestigious i-FM Technology in FM Awards.

The annual i-FM Awards are open to entrants from across the FM industry and recognise those that are using and developing new technologies to change the landscape of the sector. The judges base their decision on how the entry plays an important – often critical – supportive role in what people do. As a platform that offers peace of mind around statutory regulation, Cati certainly fits the bill.

Director James Bradley said: “Cati is Churchill’s first step towards digitising FM and making our day-to-day processes technology-led. We’re delighted that i-FM has recognised the value that Cati has been bringing to our clients over the last year since we rolled the solution out”.

The good news coincides with an exciting period of growth for the compliance division, with it having recently won a two-year contract with the South West Ambulance Services Trust (SWAST) across 130 sites.

Significant updates have also been made to the Cati interface as part of an ongoing commitment to improve its function and service. “We keep channels of communication open with our customers, listening to their feedback so we can continue to adapt the product to better suit their needs” says Operations Manager, Harrison Briggs.

“85% of our developments are born from customer-led ideas and feedback – we don’t develop for the sake of it, we listen to what is useful, beneficial and ultimately making the end user’s job easier.”

The development team are focused on remaining true to Cati’s purpose, providing a management tool underpinned by three core themes; flexible to suit the user, simple to use and understand & provide transparency that helps drive performance. Additional building compliance categories such as asbestos monitoring and first aiders join the recently developed ‘miscellaneous’ and ‘additional lines’ section in the main dashboard. This allows clients to store, track and manage anything they wish to, including all compliance or business critical obligations bespoke to their organisation, such as lease documentation, fleet checks, insurance documents and so on.

It doesn’t stop there, as Cati’s ‘more info’ sections will now point clients in the right direction to find out more regarding a specific compliance check or requirement (for instance the appropriate British Standards or ACOP) using hyperlinks. Bradley adds: “Many of the clients we work with have been asked to manage compliance in addition to their official role, often having to battle with complicated legislation in addition to their day job. This is a daunting task, but now these people will have access to any information that they need to understand exactly what is required of them”.

All this, as well as a revamped logo and branding tops off what has been a busy and successful few months for Cati.

The i-FM technology awards winners will be announced at the Workplace Futures conference on the 5thFebruary 2019. Watch this space…
